US422 Corridor Master Plan
Posted on | June 23, 2010 |
The US422 Corridor Master Plan Draft-Final document was released in December 2009. This planning effort, led by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), provides a unified framework and vision for land use and multi-modal transportation planning to address rapid population and employment and heightened traffic congestion experienced within the 24 contiguous municipalities along the 422 Corridor.
The Plan is intended to:
- Improve the safety and efficiency of the area’s transportation system by analyzing the condition of the network
- Identify mobility needs throughout the corridor
- Strengthen the linkage between land use and transportation
Throughout the months of June and July 2010, staffs from DVRPC, Montgomery County, and Chester County are presenting key recommendations related to both land use and transportation to municipalities within the study area.
